As the top graph shows, increasing numbers of New Zealanders aged 65 and over include paid employment in their daily routine. A 2009 comparison between the developed nations of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), bottom, has shown that New Zealand's employment rate for 65–69-year-olds is beaten only by Mexico, Korea and Iceland.
