Wellington restaurateurs' meeting, 1977

These Wellington restaurateurs met at the Settlement restaurant in Willis Street in 1977 to discuss problems they had getting liquor licences and with the police raiding their establishments when they suspected alcohol was being served illegally. The meeting sent a delegation to discuss these issues with Justice Department officials and the police. The owner of the Settlement, Harry Seresin, is standing at right.
