Australian-born people in New Zealand, 1861–2023

This graph shows the strong migration from Australia to New Zealand in the first decade of the 20th century. The number of Australian-born people in New Zealand in 1911 was not reached again until the early 1990s. Between 1991 and 2023, the number almost doubled.
