Government-level multilateral organisations operate alongside a variety of other groups. This nuclear-free Pacific poster was produced in 1984 by the Pacific Conference of Churches (to which New Zealand Christian denominations belonged), a non-governmental multilateral organisation. The work of the PCC and its member churches was supplemented by that of numerous community-based organisations. Groupings of this kind are sometimes called 'domestic interests'; they influence the activity of the New Zealand government within multilateral organisations.
