You provide the letter of appointment of Lieutenant Governor Grey omitting to provide the letter of appointment of New Zealand's first appointed Governor Hobson to the new Colony of New Zealand erected on 16 November 1840 by an act of the Westminster Parliament. Can you please advise me and your website readers of the details of appointment date of Governor Hobson?
