Hutt Valley modernism

This is the clock tower of Hutt City’s municipal building. The whole civic complex – which also encompasses the War Memorial Library – was built in the 1940s and 1950s in a modernist style. Nearby is the Anglican Church of St James, among New Zealand’s most important modernist church buildings.
