These graphs compare New Zealand with other OECD countries by particular child-health indicators – infant mortality, low birth weight, immunisation, and youth suicide – in the 2010s. While the health of New Zealand children compares well to most other countries in the world, the results are not so favourable when New Zealand is compared to similar developed nations. An exception to this is the percentage of children born with a low birth weight (where New Zealand was below the OECD average and in the bottom third of countries).
