Move the mouse over the bars on the graph to compare the workforce structure of New Zealand's main ethnic groups. Click on an ethnic group in the key to remove that group from the graph; click on that group again to restore it.

This graph shows the age structure of the workforce for the four main ethnic groups. Pākehā have by far the largest proportion of older workers, partly because their total population is, on average, older. Most ethnic groups show a similar age pattern for male and female workers, apart from Pacific Islanders, where fewer women than men are working in almost every age group.
