‘Would you like a career path with that?’ Service workers in the fast-food industry – such as (from left) Tony Archibald, Samantha Noys and Adrian Hailwood, who all worked at McDonalds in Lower Hutt in 1987 – are, on average, much younger than the average of the total New Zealand workforce.
