Story: Tertiary education

Wellington Technical School poster, 1895

This poster for the Wellington Technical School (which opened in 1886 as the Wellington School of Design) shows the kind of classes offered by technical schools in the 19th century. Most were held in the evening so working people could attend, though Wellington also offered day classes.
