Typhoid map, Wellington, 1892

This map of inner-city Wellington in 1892 shows houses of people suffering from typhoid. The large dots denote 1892 infections and the smaller dots mark outbreaks during the previous two years. The 1892 outbreak occurred after sewers overflowed during heavy rain.
