Colombo Plan students (1st of 2)

This excerpt from a 1964 newsreel about the Colombo Plan features two Indonesian students – a midwife and a teacher – studying for further qualifications in New Zealand. A number of Indonesian students arrived from the 1960s under the Colombo Plan, which aimed to promote social and economic development in the Asia–Pacific region through training and technological assistance.
