The reform of the state services

In this news clip from 1987 the State Services Commission, led by Roderick Deane, promotes the value of the reform of the state sector and particularly the creation of nine corporations in place of government departments. Deane had been one of the Treasury economists who brought a new-right perspective to policy-making from the late 1970s.
