Split Enz, 'I see red'

Art-rock band Split Enz (or Split Ends as they were first called) burst onto the music scene in the early 1970s. They made their debut at Auckland's Wynyard Tavern in December 1972, but otherwise avoided the pub scene, instead performing in theatres and halls. Their theatrical style was on the kooky side, but it became more pop-like over the years. Split Enz achieved mainstream success in New Zealand and Australia, and toured throughout the world. The song 'I see red' was released in 1978.
