Murray Ball's Footrot Flats made its debut as a comic strip in the Evening Post newspaper in 1976. It became very popular and was made into a full-length animated movie in 1986, directed by Ball. In these scenes near the beginning, Wal Footrot staggers into his filthy kitchen to find his Aunt Dolly is about to pay him a visit.
