Story: Triathlon and multisport

World championships, 2003

The 2003 triathlon world championships were held at Queenstown in December of that year. This film shows Emma Snowsill of Australia winning the women's race. The competition was held against the beautiful backdrop of mountains and lake. The swimming leg in Lake Hayes was a chilly 18 degrees, so wetsuits were worn by competitors. The men's race was also won by an Australian, Peter Robertson.
