First televised All Black test in New Zealand

Watch an excerpt from the New Zealand–Australia test match at Carisbrook, Dunedin, on 8 September 1962. The commentator on this first telecast was Charles Martin, and the coverage was broadcast the next day. The excerpt focuses on one of the few really exciting moments in the game. For a modern viewer, the high number of errors in the rugby is as revealing as the quality of the commentary and filming.
