Story: Australia and New Zealand

Fashion parade

New Zealand's exports to Australia were a small part of its overseas trade in the mid-20th century, but in the 1960s there was renewed interest in trade between the two countries, culminating in the NAFTA agreement in 1965. In this clip from 1963, before the agreement was signed, Australian buyers have flown across the Tasman to look at New Zealand fashions in a Wellington fashion show.
