Story: Sexualities

Sexual services for those with disabilities

People with disabilities may use the services of sex workers to experience sexual pleasure. Marie Swanson, the manager of Toni's massage parlour in Hamilton, talks about the need for workers to know about the different needs of clients. She says that the women who work at Toni's are experienced in ensuring that men with disabilities enjoy the intimate touching and physical pleasures of sex which many people take for granted. However, her focus is on the expertise of female sex workers. There is little information on the use of such services by women with disabilities.
