Story: Sexualities

Rainbow Youth bullying forum, 2010

Priscilla Penniket, Rainbow Youth education officer, talks about the bullying forum, a programme to combat bullying of queer, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students. She argues that many of these students do not come out in school because they are fearful of bullying or encounter prejudice. She advocates the formation of gender-diversity groups in schools, where students who identify as lesbian, gay, queer, bisexual or transgender can support one another and be a visible presence.
