The Hamilton jet boat

This government newsreel from 1955 shows Bill Hamilton at the wheel of a speedboat powered by the jet propulsion unit he invented on his South Island high-country farm. In the 2000s the company set up to develop and market Hamilton's invention sold its products in 50 countries.
