Hi I'm Annabelle White, the queen of cuisine here on Easy Mix. If you want great food, stunning landscape and top class accommodation for a mini break or special weekend, look no further delights of Hawke's Bay.

Look the locals there have enviable life surrounded by fantastic produce, stella wines, creative people in this amazing landscape. You have it all there from amazing beaches to the Craggy Ranges. So book a weekend of Black Barn visit their market on Saturday morning and pop down to see Tom at Hawthorne Coffee to watch him roasting beans and drive to this fantastic place on the outskirts of Havelock North, which is called plumb city for a delicious fresh fruit drink,  full of antioxidants and made with peaches or peacharines or cherries or fresh fruit right there.

Now over the weekend I looked after a couple of prize winners for gourmet weekend and I developed a fantastic recipe, or retwigged a recipe which is more a method which I want to share with you for dessert. I placed nectarines, peaches, plums and peacharines in a big huge stainless steel roasting tray, I drizzled it liberally with brandy and a light sprinkling of sugar, then into a 170 degrees Celsius oven, roasted for about 40 minutes and they were superb with local lime curd mixed with crème fraîche.
