Canned oysters

In 1975, cans of Foveaux Strait oysters were air-freighted to Wellington three times a day. The manager of Port Nicholson fisheries, Mr P. Focus, photographed here with some of the cans, stated that he couldn’t keep up with the demand for the succulent shellfish.
