Atafu Atoll reunion (1st of 2)

Atafu Atoll reunion

In February 1980, 19 families numbering 106 people, originally from Atafu Atoll, spent several days together at a Porirua youth camp. On Atafu Atoll they had formed an extended family. While most parents went to work each day during the reunion, the children stayed behind at the camp, attending school and enjoying traditional activities such as singing and drumming.
