Clutha Nantes Mackenzie and an unknown woman at Days Bay, Wellington, in October 1931

Blinded at Gallipoli, Clutha Nantes Mackenzie became an energetic worker for the blind in New Zealand, and by 1931 had proved himself a highly effective if somewhat autocratic director of the Jubilee Institute for the Blind in Auckland.
