Warbirds over Wanaka

Warbirds over Wanaka

The biennial Warbirds over Wanaka pageant, first held in 1988, is now billed as one of the world’s greatest warbird air shows. This poster for the 2000 pageant conveys the nostalgic appeal of such events, which feature aerial displays, aerobatics, mock dogfights and other re-enactments that bring aviation history to life.
