Restoring vintage aircraft (1st of 2)

Restoring vintage aircraft

The derelict state of this Curtiss P-40E Warhawk gives an idea of the painstaking work involved in rebuilding vintage aircraft. This plane is owned by American Jerry Yagen but was restored by Avspecs, an Auckland company. The growth of significant vintage aircraft collections in New Zealand has been accompanied by the development of companies dedicated to restoration and repair. Avspecs has clients in New Zealand and overseas.
