Fish and shellfish limits

Fish and shellfish limits

This sign on the Coromandel coastline north of Thames outlines the daily catch and size limits for recreational anglers and divers. There is a limited season for taking scallops in the area. Regulations vary, and some areas are now closed to fishing for certain species, to allow poached stocks time to recover.
