Ling (2nd of 3)


Ling are quite large fish, measuring 80 to 120 centimetres. They feed on the sea floor, taking fish (including small hoki and southern blue whiting), crustacea and cephalopods. They are fished by longline and by trawling at 200 to 700 metres deep.
