Liam Malone, Rio, 2016

Paralympian Liam Malone is pictured here on his way to winning gold in record time in the men’s 200 metres (T44 class), having already won a silver medal in the 100 metres. He went on to win a second record-breaking gold medal in the 400 metres. The Rio games were Malone’s only Paralympics. He was New Zealand’s flag-bearer at the closing ceremony.
