Dairy worker Harvey Cabug, 2015

In 2008 Filipino Harvey Cabug, who had experience working on a dairy farm in Saudi Arabia, came to New Zealand to work in the Waikato region. In 2014 he established the North Island Filipino Farmers Association to help fellow Filipino dairy workers through the challenges of adapting to a new country. Like Filipino Dairy Workers in New Zealand, formed in the South Island in 2007, the North Island association provided both social and employment support for Filipinos.
