Mervyn Taylor works on a carved panel that he was commissioned to produce for Broadcasting House, Wellington, in 1963. Entitled Time and space, it showed the sun and moon and all the signs of the zodiac carved in low relief on a kauri panel. Taylor often worked day and night to complete the commission.
