Charles Mackie Begg

An experienced surgeon who joined the New Zealand Field Ambulance in 1914, Charles Begg was honoured for his efforts to care for wounded soldiers throughout the First World War. He was photographed in uniform around 1918, not long before his untimely death from influenza.
