Lisa Reihana

This photo shows 'Mahuika', part of Lisa Reihana's 'Digital marae' series of digital photographs of iconic Māori figures, both legendary and historical. The photographs, which used Reihana's family and friends as models, are printed on 2-metre-high aluminium sheets. As well as photography, Reihana has worked in the media of film, sculpture, installation and performance art.
