This is the newsroom of the Wanganui Chronicle on 12 April 2012. That day, the reporting and editing staff were working on the paper's final weekday broadsheet edition. Thereafter, the Wanganui Chronicle appeared in the smaller, tabloid format Monday to Friday, and in broadsheet format only on Saturday. In late 2013 the newspaper relocated from these offices alongside the Whanganui River to Guyton St, Whanganui. The Chronicle remained New Zealand's oldest continuously surviving newspaper; the first issue appeared in 1856.
