Directors of the New Zealand Ballet gathered in 1984 to celebrate the company's 30th anniversary. Each chose a work to be performed in a celebration season. From left are Philip Chatfield (Last reunion and The kiss), Harry Haythorne (No exit), Una Kai (the pas de deux from Grand pas hongrois), Russell Kerr (Salute), Poul Gnatt (the last act of Napoli) and Rowena Jackson. Former artistic director Brian Ashbridge (not pictured) chose Poems.
