Taranaki centennial postcard

Taranaki centennial postcard

This aerial view of Pukekura Park in New Plymouth shows north Taranaki school children forming a living picture of Mt Taranaki (Mt Egmont) and the words, 'Taranaki centennial 1841–1941'. The event occurred on 2 April 1941 and followed a re-enactment of the landing of the first British settlers two days earlier.
