Damien Wilkins, 2007

Damien Wilkins is a Wellington-based novelist and university teacher. His short stories were published in literary periodicals in the 1980s and his first novel, The miserables, appeared in 1993 and won the New Zealand Book Award for fiction the following year. By 2013 he had published six more novels, the most recent of which was Max Gate (2013).
