Rugby league player Henry Perenara

Like many others before him, rugby league player Henry Perenara went to Australia in search of sporting success. In 2001, when this photograph was taken, Henry was playing for the Melbourne Storm. He had previously represented Auckland, the Junior Kiwis and Aotearoa Māori. Many Māori players are to be found in top-level rugby league teams in Australia and the United Kingdom.
