Phar Lap's shoes

Even in 2012, 80 years after the racehorse died, Phar Lap continued to have great sentimental appeal in New Zealand. Brendan and Jo Lindsay spent about $40,000 at a Melbourne auction to obtain a set of Phar Lap's shoes. Brendan Lindsay said, 'I wanted to make sure the shoes came back to New Zealand so all New Zealanders can enjoy them.'
