Fan Smith

By the time this photograph was taken, possibly in the early 1930s, Fan Smith was a prominent community leader in Gore. She was active in women’s organisations including the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, and was a stalwart of the children’s charity Dr Barnardo’s Homes.
