Girls playing hopscotch, around 1970

Girls play hopscotch in a suburban street in the 1970s. Hopscotch is a game that can be played by an individual or a group. The simplicity of the game means it can be played anywhere there is a suitable surface. While boys and girls both play hopscotch, in New Zealand it has often been regarded as more of a girls' game.
