Sisters Nina and Lisa Daniels celebrated their retirement from competitive synchronised swimming in 2008 by hanging up the colourful swimsuits they wore in various competitions. One of the highlights of their 15-year career was winning a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, in 2006. The green costumes they wore for this routine, which was based on the sinuous movements of a sea snake, are second from left and right. Though no longer swimming competitvely, the sisters were keen to pass on their skills and experience by coaching younger swimmers.
