Nick Willis, 2008

Nick Willis was New Zealand's middle-distance star in the early 2000s. He won gold in the 1,500 metres at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and a silver in the 2008 Olympics. He came third in this race at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, but was elevated to second place after first-place getter Rashid Ramzi was stripped of his gold medal for doping offences. Eight years later he won bronze in the 1,500 metres at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
