Although apparently mismatched in engine size, this Ford Mustang, driven by a Mr Dawson, is hotly pursued by a Mini, driven by A. Hyslop, in a race at Levin in 1969. The wide range of vehicles competing alongside each other made saloon-car racing a popular and highly exciting spectator sport in this period.
