Collecting winnings, 1918

New Zealand soldiers collect their winnings from the totalisator set up at 'Happy Valley' at the gymkhana sports in Louvencourt, France, during the First World War. Soldiers gambled incessantly to while away the boredom during periods of non-fighting.
