Devotion dance party, 1992

In the 1990s gay, lesbian and transgender dance parties were often held in warehouses to accommodate the crowds of queer and heterosexual people that attended. Alisdair France, shown here moving a prop into place before Wellington’s 1992 Devotion party, was an organiser and choreographer in the 1990s for Devotion and Auckland’s Hero parties.
