Seido karate, 2010

The traditional Japanese art of seido karate is demonstrated on Lyall Bay beach, Wellington, by six-year-old Isabella Stonnell (centre) and other members of the South Wellington Seido Karate Club in 2010. Seido karate was founded in New York in 1976 by Japanese-born grand master Tadashi Nakamura and emphasises physical fitness, self-defence and meditation.
