Albatross, Campbell Island

A southern royal albatross (Diomedea epomophora) sits on its nest amid the tussock and herbs above Perseverance Harbour. Campbell Island is a major world centre for albatrosses and most of the southern royals, which are the largest albatrosses, breed there.
