Marise Chamberlain, Tokyo, 1964

Runner Marise Chamberlain won bronze in the 800 metres at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. She was the only New Zealand woman to win an Olympic medal in a running event until 1992, when Lorraine Moller won bronze in the marathon at Barcelona.
